Fell's Point is located on a peninsula in Baltimore, Maryland, across the harbor from downtown. An aging industrial center and shipping hub (even today, though less so), the area is a working class neighborhood of tight rowhouses and corner stores. In the midst of recent gentrification, Fell's Point retains its' gritty feel and industrial scale. This design for housing seeks to acknowledge the scale of the towering silo structure in the backyard and the industrial materials of the piers and cranes, while reacting to the rules of the rowhouse typology. As an end unit it features a broad wall to develop and delineate, and the interior spaces conform to an array of programmatic scales.
