A radical proposal for sustainable development on the shores of Lake Geneva in the Canton of Vaud, Switzerland. The "Radiant Parks / Radiant Cities" plan calls for the intermittent banding of urban growth and greenbelts from shore to mountains in the interest of preserving large swaths of shoreline, countryside, and natural accesses and pathways. The scheme further imagines several types of constructions in such a system, including wetland hiking pathways that "ride" natural flooding cycles and tides, beachside recreational baths, mixed use residential and commercial buildings, and mammoth lake-bourne research stations.
